A guaranteed boost

Can you think of a time you tried or learned something new? What was it? More importantly, how did you FEEL? Isn't it a great feeling to say, "I did it!"? Or just to know you've had experience with just that much more in this world? I think there's no better self-esteem boost than studying or learning something new. Let's do it together! We can all use as much of a boost as possible.

These next two months we're going to be featuring the ideas, resources, and expertise of different sisters in our ward to explore areas we might not be as familiar with. Or maybe just information we'd like to learn a little more about. So stay tuned! To "sweeten the deal" a bit, I promise a treat every Sunday you continue to check in each week! As always, comments are welcome, but I'll be thrilled if you're just reading, too.

Here's a thought to ponder for today, from D&C Section 88:

78 Teach ye diligently and my grace shall attend you, that you may be instructed more perfectly in theory, in principle, in doctrine, in the law of the gospel, in all things that pertain unto the kingdom of God, that are expedient for you to understand;

79 Of things both in heaven and in the earth, and under the earth; things which have been, things which are, things which must shortly come to pass; things which are at home, things which are abroad; the wars and the perplexities of the nations, and the judgments which are on the land; and a knowledge also of countries and of kingdoms—

80 That ye may be prepared in all things when I shall send you again to magnify the calling whereunto I have called you, and the mission with which I have commissioned you.
D&C 88: 78-80

The sky's the limit on what we can be learning. Have fun, and feel good knowing the Lord will be pleased with your efforts!

  2. How blessed we are to live in an age when so much is available at our fingertips! Truly, the sky is the limit for what we can learn.
    Thanks for the challenge!
