JANUARY PREPAREDNESS; Are you prepared? Preparing For An Evacuation; A Grab and Go Binder

Throughout 2013, the Lifelong Learning emphasis will be on preparedness.  Intermittently, the Literacy emphasis will also come in and out on the blog as well.

To start off on the Emergency Preparedness theme...
In January, the blog will be spotlighting:

  1. Brainstorming Different Disasters to Prepare For:  Don't Make a Natural Disaster a Manmade Disaster
  2. Preparing for an Evacuation so you can leave instantly with peace of mind--Written by a survivor of the Berkeley California fire of 1991
  3. A "Grab and Go" Binder
  4. A Second Person's List of Important Documents to have Ready to Grab and Go
  5. ID Protection--Did you know that if you live in Georgia or 6 other states that you can order Credit Reports twice a year from the three credit agencies?  Check it out!
  6. Checklist from TIAA CREF to assist those settling an estate.  The list will also give you ideas for what should be in a Grab-and-Go Binder.

Your assignment for January:
1.  Make a Grab-and-Go Binder. OR
2.  Pick another goal to prepare for an emergency and complete it.
