Happy New Year of New Knowledge!

Literacy Ideas for that Kindle, iPad or iPod that You Received for Christmas!

1.              Try an Audible Book
Is there a long car trip in your future?  How about just making the drive around town or doing the dishes more interesting? Try an audible book.  For a guaranteed good title, download one recognized with an Audie Award.  The link is under the Literacy Links in the right sidebar of the Literacy and Lifelong Learning page.  Check out http://www.theaudies.com .

2.            Share a Book/Borrow an eBook
Swap e-books through http://ebookfling.com .  This site allows Nook and Kindle users to lend or borrow titles for a 14-day “fling.”  The link is under the Literacy Links in the right sidebar of the Literacy and Lifelong Learning page.

TRY A NEW SOURCE FOR eBOOKS
Again all of these links are in the right sidebar of the Literacy and Lifelong Learning page.

3.            eBooks at Deseret Book
If you download the Deseret Book Company’s e-reader app for free, you get 8 free books from their Deseret Bookshelf site: http://deseretbook.com/bookshelf.

4.            Your local library
The home page of the local library, http://www.cobbcat.org/e-library.html lends books as well as gives a list of FIVE more sources of eBooks.

5.            Try a New Read
I have added the Pulitzer (http://www.pulitzer.org/) and National Book (http://www.nationalbook.org/) sites to the right side bar as well of the Literacy and Lifelong Learning page.  Find a new favorite by checking out their award winning books.

Bookmark your Literacy and Lifelong Learning page today (http://literacyandlifelonglearning.blogspot.com/) and use it to link to valuable resources!
